Western Ave., South Bend, IN. Mandate Deadline August 14, 2010. District XV Meeting at 12:00, prior to Convention.

The convention was very successful. I really enjoyed talking with everyone and seeing how everyone’s Lodge is doing. This helps to see where other Lodges are at and what works for them and also helps to keep you feeling a part of the bigger picture. A prayer was said by Commissioner George Gustas for departed PNA Members and recently departed Bozena Sztukowski, Frank Spula’s assistant.

-Districts XV Debutante & Squire Ball will be held in 2011
-Next District XV Meeting: October 1, 2010 at 6:00 PM (Chigago time), Terre Coupee, Liberty Star Lodge
-Cookie Bake-off December 11, 2010 in La Porte, IN Lodge 1120
-Next District XV Convention Host will be Terre Coupee, Liberty Star Lodge, Thank Allison

There was a mix-up on the delegates formed for the Committees. This resulted in not having a Ways & Means Committee this year.
Sports & Youth had some great new ideas connecting Poland and American kids setting up correspondences through internet, Lodge activities, doing online computer games, Wii tournaments, translations. I will give more details after I can go through minutes and the report.

Membership relays the significance and tradition that Grandparents buy policies for their Grandchildren. There needs to be a continuation in this tradition today, keeping the lodge fruitful and connecting them to Polish culture and heritage.

The new Action Committee was added on the Agenda, for Appointments of Committees, at the 2010 Convention. Members: Jeff (3149), Connie (83), Jeanette (1120). Action Committee sets into Action.

(I will be updating with information soon)

Action Committee Report 2010

The new Action Committee was added on the Agenda, for Appointments of Committees, at the 2010 Convention. Members: Jeff (3149), Connie (83), Jeanette (1120). Action Committee sets into Action: enunciate and declare that:

Follow-ups are made to each Lodge after the Convention that lists the proposed resolutions and ideas from (Resolution, Ways & Means, Membership, Sports & Youth) Committees and recommendations of the Commissioners. This will serve as a useful reminder of the ideas and goals to implement to help lodges from the resolutions made at the District XV Convention.

Second correspondence is made 3 months prior to next convention to get feedback from the Lodges to see if there is any progress made to the resolutions. To see how the resolutions may or may not be applicable or working in conjunction with that lodge with its functions and goals. Obtain suggestions, solutions or ideas. The second communication will be useful to send in a form format to facilitate and make it efficient and easy for Lodges for give feedback. This information will be used to give a report to the Commissioners at District XV Meeting and give report at Convention.

Action Committee will need: All Lodge President email addresses, the Minutes and Reports from the Resolution, Ways & Means, Membership, and Sports & Youth Committees from the Convention.

Suggested by Allison that correspondences to be in e-mail format to Lodges. All Lodges present declared that their Lodge has access to computer, internet and email for this. Agreed and no problem was seen implementing this in email form.
