District 15 Annual PNA Spelling Bee will be held on March 13, 2010. All lodges are strongly encouraged to get qualified students ready for the indiviual lodge Spelling Bees. Need more info on dates? District XV’s PNA Cookie Bake Off Contest a Success
District XV, in conjunction with the PNA National Office, held the first annual PNA Cookie Bake Off. The contest was held at the LaPorte, Indiana Lodge #1120 on December 5, 2009.
PNA student participants ages 12-16 from the District were invited to attend. Student contest participants and their family members were also invited to bring cookies for the Cookie Bake Off Auction following the Contest.
- Maria Tomlinson, Lodge #83--1st Place ($100 paid by PNA Office) is the daughter of Stephen & Angela Wroblewski.
- Emily Lis, Lodge #2365--2nd Place ($50 paid by PNA Office) is the daughter of Bruno & Kathy Lis.
- Kenny Smeltzer, Lodge #1120--3rd Place ($25 paid by PNA Office) is the son of James & Barbara Smeltzer.
- Austin Duda, Lodge #1120, participant ($10 paid by District #15) is the son of Joseph & Penny Duda
Cooke Bake Off Judges were:
- Sally Russell Lodge #1120
- Jeni Filip Lodge #1120
- Joe Samreta Lodge #2365
After the contest, the Cookie Bake Off Auction was held raising $75 for the newly established District XV Culinary Scholarship program. More information to follow with more monies to be raised for this PNA District XV scholarship program.
Congratulations to all who came and participated in the Bake Off Contest and Bake Off Auction. Everyone who came to this event had a great time, many laughs and lots of fun. This was a District function that was enjoyed by the entire PNA family

ACTION COMMITTEE
Information on the Action Committee as proposed from Resolutions at the 2009 District XV Convention.
The new Action Committee will take shape this year and is intended to improve the implimentation of resolutions, ideas and goals obtained at the District XV Convention. Will consist of two or more members of District XV Board of Directors. Reports will be made to the Comissioners twice a year and a report at the next Convention.
The Action Committee follows up on implementation of the goals, ideas, proposals made and from Resolutions made at the District XV Convention.
Follow-ups are made to each lodge to see if there is any progress made to the resolutions. To see how the resolutions may or may not be applicable or working in conjunction with that lodge with its functions and goals. Obtain suggestions, solutions or ideas.
This information is use to determine how effective the resolutions are and what changes may be taken for improvement and ideas exchanged to assist in the accomplishments of other lodges and District XV as a whole.
